Educational Benefits of Crazy Chefs

  • Encourages Observational Skills
  • Encourages Discussion
  • Develops Personal and Social Skills
  • Develops Matching and Memory Skills

Contents:
5 chef boards, 5 plate cards, 5 meal cards, 35 cards, 1 spinner

Object:
To be the first player to collect all the ingredients and utensils on their board, pick up a plate and ‘cook’ their dish.

To play:
• Each player chooses a chef board. The square ingredient and utensil cards are spread out, face downwards, on the table. The shaped plate and meal cards are set to one side.
• The youngest player begins by turning over a square card.
• If the item on the card is on their chef board, the player places the card over the picture. If the card is not shown on the player’s board, it is returned to the table, face downwards. Play passes to the person on the player’s left.
• Once a player has filled their board, on their next turn they spin the spinner. If the spinner points to a plate, the player takes an empty plate and places it on their board, in their chef’s hands. If the spinner does not point to a plate, play passes to the next player.
• Once a player has collected a plate, they must also ‘cook’ their meal. On their next turn, they spin the spinner again. If the spinner points to a child sitting at the table, their dish is cooked and they take the meal card that matches their board and place it on their plate to win the game. If the spinner does not point to a child at the table, play passes to the next player. N.B. Players may continue to play after the first player has finished, to see who comes second and third, etc.

The winner:
The winner of Crazy Chefs is the first player to collect all the ingredients and utensils on their board, pick up a plate and ‘cook’ their meal.

Recommended for ages 3-7 and for 2-5 players.

Not for suitable children under three years old due to small parts, keep out of their reach.
