It is hard to believe that it has been four years since a conversation with friends around a kitchen table changed my life and set me on the journey of creating Sensory Oasis for Kids. Inspired by my three amazing autistic sons, I used their initials (Sebastian, Oliver and Kobe) to create our name and they became my chief product testers. I worked from my bedroom in between kids naps and running them to therapy appointments and school/kinder. As the website grew, so did the products filling up our hallway and manoeuvring around boxes became a way of life lol. Moving into a tiny shop first and then into the much bigger one we are in now has been wonderful as I get to meet so many awesome people every day - though I often get no work done during the day as I am always chatting! I love my job and am so proud of what we have created - it's not easy, the hours are long and the pay is crap - but when I have a child tell me that mine is their favourite store ever and I see the happiness on their face it really does make it all worthwhile. Thanks for all of your support and we look forward to many more years of doing what we love!
