Description
Playground Box 2 - Learn & Explore 4-6 Months
Around the 4–6 month stage, babies often become much more curious about everything around them. Hands are getting busier, reaching is becoming more purposeful, textures suddenly matter, and familiar objects are starting to become recognisable. The Playground Box 2 - Learn & Explore has been thoughtfully curated to support this wonderfully inquisitive stage through gentle, sensory-rich play.
Designed for babies aged 4-6 months, this play box builds on those early developmental foundations with activities that encourage grasping, reaching, hand-eye coordination, visual recognition and tactile exploration. From soft textured balls and colourful scarves to nesting teether balls and simple flash cards, every item gives your baby another way to explore through touch, sight and movement.
The included fabric tissue box is especially lovely for repeated pulling and grabbing play, while the nesting teether balls provide different shapes and surfaces to hold, mouth and investigate. The animal book and shape cards introduce simple concepts in a relaxed, playful way, without turning playtime into a lesson.
As always, there is no need to rush or expect a particular response. Some babies will want to grab everything immediately, others will prefer to watch first, and both are perfectly valid ways to explore. The included instruction manual gives parents and carers ideas for introducing each activity as baby grows through this stage.

Development through play
At this stage, babies are often beginning to reach more deliberately, transfer objects between their hands, explore items with their mouths and respond to different colours, shapes and textures.
Simple play experiences can support these emerging skills naturally. Pulling a scarf from the tissue box, squeezing a textured ball, watching a brightly coloured scarf move or exploring a teether can all provide meaningful sensory input without needing to be complicated.
The activities can be introduced gradually and followed according to your baby's interest. If they turn away, lose interest or become overwhelmed, that is simply a cue to pause and try again another time.
