Scienceworks Community Safety Day
On Thursday 1st October Scienceworks is having a Community Safety Day. What a great way for the kids to see the emergency services in action and meet the heroes who look after our society every day.
There will be representatives from:
- Search and Rescue Dogs Australia
- Australian Volunteer Coast Guard
- St John Ambulance
- VicRoads
- MFB
- Metro Trains
- City West Water
- SES
- Victoria Police
- Ambulance Victoria
MFB Heavy Road Rescue Demonstration 10.45 am & 12.45 pm
Come see the hydraulic rescue tools used by fire fighters to free people from cars damaged in a road crash.
MFB High Angle Rescue Team Demonstration 11.30 am & 1.30 pm
Witness the MFB High Angle Rescue Team (HART) as they demonstrate how they can save people trapped on skyscrapers and cliff-faces with their special equipment, ropes and rigging.
Activities and displays will finish at 3.00 pm. Tickets are at normal prices and you can pre-book online or buy them at the door. https://museumsvictoria.com.au/scienceworks
